[ To that, she only shrugs. ]

[He descends into silence. There's no action he's taken here of which he is proud. He won't claim to be a better or even just a nicer person than he knows himself to be.]

You take responsibility. I think that means more than you'd expect.

[ As she leans back on her hands. ]

I prefer not to involve myself with irresponsible company.

[misstrust]

Yes, you and me both. It's more of a pain otherwise.

How long will you be staying?

[misstrust]

[ Dorothy lets out a soft snort, shifting to her feet. ]

I'll leave you be. I think we've reached an understanding.

[soulus]

[He watches her stand.]

Was it enough?

[misstrust]

[ Dorothy smiles at him, turning to go. ]

It was more than I'd expected from anyone. Thank you.

[soulus]

[He says nothing to that as he watches her go. Rupe stays in place despite her departure, following her instead with his wolfish gaze. They don't speak nor move to keep her.

That's not something for which to be grateful.]
