[He hums, as he moves closer - he sure is very sparkly, for whatever reason.]

...Its soothing, you know.

[ What a duo, one sparkly non-vampire and one lady who smells like bread.

But Dorothy reaches out to work her fingers through his hair, as comfortably as she had before. ]

Has no one played with your hair before?

[robopriest]

...I'm sure my mother did. It was a long long time ago.

[And his face falls, his gaze a little distant.]

Its strange, though. I remember he going through it with a comb, and then I...I was just alone, by myself, in the mountains. My hair grew somewhat long, then. But there was no one there for a while to do anything with it.

[misstrust]

[ Dorothy frowns, even as her fingers continue to nimbly twist his hair into a braid. ]

... You were alone in the mountains, but you don't remember how that happened?

[ He was?? In the mountains??? Alone?????? ]

[robopriest]

I...can't remember.

[He can't, as hard as he tries.]

I just remember our village, and then it was all gone. And I was the only one left.

[misstrust]

... I'm sorry. It's not something you should have to talk about.

[ Whatever happened, it sounds... fairly painful. ]

[robopriest]

[He shakes his head - there's even an upturn of his mouth at that.]

I'm okay with talking about it, though. I mean...it was sad to be alone. I can't say it wasn't. But whatever happened that left me alone...I don't think its something I should be glad to forget. The bad things, the good things...they all come together, you know? You can't just throw the bad things away. They had an impact, too.

[misstrust]

That's... well, very wise, actually.

[ And Dorothy says this quietly, making sure the braid is nice and neat. ]

I'd rather not forget the painful memories, either. I don't think I would be myself if I did.
