[ She likes the forest, honestly. It's fairly quiet and if she ignores all the friendly woodland creatures, Dorothy can just focus on her own thoughts.
Her own very weary thoughts, made no lighter by what had transpired, and she's mid-sigh when she realizes there's actually someone just up ahead. ]
... Ah, my respectful dance partner. We meet again.
Oh, they are. I had a good couple of talks with other people... But I need some time to clear my head, too. A lot has happened in the last couple of days.
Sometimes support is what people need. Its not like we can offer much else. I mean, if I had an escape plan, I'd be handing that out on a silver platter.
Anyways...lets change the topic. I think I've talked too much about what happened. I'm just going to wear myself out at this rate, and that's no good for a holy man like myself.
A school teacher? [A light laugh.] That's nothing to sneeze at. Taking care of kids is hard work. They really can tear you apart eight ways to Sunday if you show weakness.
You know, I've never lived in a dorm. Movies and books make it seem exciting so...I guess I'm glad that's the case, even if fiction may not always meet reality.
... Ah. I admittedly don't know much about religious housing, but I thought they might have something for younger members of the clergy? Is that not the case?
No, that is the case...for most people. But I was trained one on one with my mentor, and he never saw the need for inducting me in that sort of thing. He had his own way of doing things.
Ah... the ones who do are usually the most interesting ones.
[ She knows the type. ]
I suppose if you really want the experience, you could call a lot of the gentlemen into your room one night for-- well, though that may be more of a party.
Week 0, Sunday

[He's just leaning against a tree, his expression thoughtful, but he smiles lightly when he sees her.]
Came here to get some fresh air?

[ She smiles back, dipping her knees ever so slightly in a polite curtsy. ]
But yes... something like that.
I thought everyone would be busy comforting each other around this time.
no subject
[And a nod in reply to her curtsy.]
Oh, they are. I had a good couple of talks with other people... But I need some time to clear my head, too. A lot has happened in the last couple of days.

[ Dorothy smiles sympathetically. ]
It seems all I can do is offer my support right now.

... But I see your point.

[ Sure, she's game. ]

[He seems to be pondering it for a moment.]
Let's talk about you, I guess. Unless you're the shy type, so I won't pry.
no subject
[ Uh-huh. ]
But I'm not terribly interesting. I spent most of my days trying to keep a multitude of schoolgirls in line and the pay was terrible.

[ God, she can't even imagine teaching. ]
But you're not wrong. I can honestly say it's never boring.

[A nod.]

... [ She pauses. ]
Actually, you seem fairly evenly split.
