[ Dorothy likes to act on impulse more often than not, except when the situation calls on not. But this particular impulse is strange, because she can't quite place it. It's a nagging, uncomfortable feeling that's making her feel drained and unhappy and kind of a little ill but no matter what she does, it's not going away.
Until. She catches a glimpse of a semi-familiar face, wherever she may be and it clicks first in her instincts before her brain can catch up.
Which is why-- sorry, Elsa. There's someone sprinting your way to throw her arms around you, more than a little startled herself. ]
[it's a nice day! it's a weird day. the area across the bridge opened up into... uh, space? you can visit the moon?? she's genuinely not sure what to make of it. also she's been feeling... well, slowly awful, like a whole-body headache. sort of like a cold. so, instead of messing with anything, she's just sitting in the square, writing in her diary.
well. she was, until a rapid movement catches her attention out of the corner of her eye. she turns--
--and everything happens almost in slow motion, but quite quickly. dorothy is on her like a shot, wrapping her arms around her shoulders, extracting a ghkk?? noise at the gesture--
--and she's falling over on to the bench, journal and pen dropping to the ground, because she's hugging dorothy, too.
[ Poor Elsa didn't deserve this, and Dorothy makes an apologetic noise even as she makes a valiant attempt to right them both so poor Elsa isn't just knocked over dramatically.
She sighs, after a moment, still holding her close.
[ There's no longer that feeling of illness when she's apart from any one person too long-- which is delightful, but Dorothy wants to make sure that Elsa isn't taking that as an excuse to hide away and keep to herself.
Which is why she brightens upon seeing her walking around-- ]
[at the sound of dorothy's voice, elsa freezes (haha), and turns, smiling.
the funny thing about being attached to someone, and gaining a bunch of good feelings from them, is that whenever you see them afterwards, you just kind of light up! like now!!]
--I can be bold. [can? she??
she's making her way over to dorothy, though.]
And you're as bold as ever—look at that outfit. [she nods, approvingly] Suits you.
I still think you should get some rest. You've had quite the weekend so far...
[and it's not over yet.]
I brought you a few things, though. I thought it... might help.
[she tugs the cloth off the top of the basket, and inside is... well, a selection of things, both food and drink.]
I've never been very drunk, myself, but... I hear that it helps to eat things without a lot of extravagant flavor. So here's some salted crackers... some filtered water... um, I think fresh fruit might help, so I cut some up...
Well, you fell over yesterday, you've been innerbriated from the effect, you drank a drugged drink today, and you were almost wrongfully accused of murder.
I think that's worth at least a little care, don't you?

I'm sorry. Uncontrollable instinct?

[there's a blush rising to her face that you don't need to worry about.]
Well.
It's... nice to see you again?
no subject
Dorothy manages to lean back enough to talk properly, moving her hands to Elsa's shoulders.
Okay, doable. ]
Likewise! This may be just a guess, but were you feeling unwell?
no subject
Yes. I was feeling awful until I... until you... oh!
It's... something to do with the Realm, then?
no subject
[ Sure is nice to be reunited after that long war of many years, huh. ]

[ As she does a slow spin and comes to a stop. ]
I didn't imagine I'd ever dress as a pirate, but it's kind of freeing, in a way.

[very easy to run in! adventure!]
Where are you off to?
no subject
But that can wait. Were you wandering?

W2, POST-TRIAL
elsa is here now, with a wholeass basket of stuff, gently covered by a teatowel.]
...How are you feeling?
no subject
... Like I could sleep a whole day, but then I remember that I might have come close to being killed tomorrow and that... wakes me up rather easily.

Elsa! Elsa!! Did you see the baths??
no subject
Dorothy, not so quickly. Your leg...!
no subject
[ She stops, because it's true that she'll overbalance like this. But still, she beams. ]
You should come with me!
no subject
[she observes dorothy's condition—and sighs.]
Okay. But only as your support.
no subject
[ Dorothy can't argue that much. It still gets Elsa to the spa. ]
Then, thank you for escorting me.
no subject
Of course. Come on—I haven't seen them at all.
You'll have to show me around.
