[there was a huge flurry of activity when the first group arrived, and so in the time spent waiting for the second that was bound to come he finds himself wandering back to the inn and tracking down dorothy's room. the door's likely propped open just a tiny bit that he doesn't have to knock and make someone get up to let him in, but he knocks to be polite anyway as he pokes his head inside.]
...Dorothy? [the tone's quiet in case she's asleep or, like, passed out, but it's enough to hopefully draw her attention.]
[he'll enter the room then and he thinks about how this is such a bad time for all of them to be sleeping in piles of leaves.]
You really worried people back there. [there's a soft smile.] How're you feeling? Can I get you anything? [he's trying to stay upbeat, but even his movements seem a bit worried as he approaches and seems to hover a little like he's not sure if he should be sitting or standing.]
[backdates to ic monday for reasons...sora is wandering today! mostly, he likes to wander outside whenever he can, and it's why he takes to the gardens and to the woods fairly easily. as he's on his adventures roaming around though, he passes by a gazebo and sees a friendly face seated there. likewise, his animal companion seems to brighten upon seeing her.]
[ Dorothy is garbed in ye olde medieval gown and there's a miniature wild horse grazing not far from the gazebo. She offers both Sora and his friend a grin. ]
[tiny horse...but he laughs a little awkwardly and rubs the back of his head.]
It sort of felt fitting, you know? I couldn't come to the castle in my other stuff without feeling out of place. [sometimes...you are used to costume changes. but sora and his dragon thing begin to approach the gazebo.] Mind if we join you?
[he immediately loves this horse, and though there's a surprised sort of "oof!" he's stopping right away to pat the horse's nose. the dream eater's already scuttling over to dorothy in the gazebo, squawking eagerly. yes, hello, we're here now.
once sora gets in the required amount of pets though he'll walk ahead to join her, sword set to the side and out of the way.]
This might be my second favorite place so far. [he's very okay with being a fairytale prince for the time being.]
[later after things have quieted down, sora will enter the employee lounge and seems to be carrying a plate. whatever it is, it looks freshly cooked and the steam rises from it as he sets it and a mug of tea down just outside of the barrier. he'll also settle himself on the ground as close to the barrier as he can.]
You'd think they'd take the barrier down for certain people after all this time. [frowning.] But when I leave, one of the leaders should be able to let you have this. Just in case you get hungry later.
Wouldn't be the first time. [home sure is wild, but he frowns instead.] Besides, I don't really think I'd call you a murderer anyway. It almost feels like the word's lost its meaning here.
Thanks. [mmm...] I know it came up earlier today, but I still wanted you to hear it from me directly. I'm sorry about last week. You're totally right to be angry with us, and we should have talked about it more. It wasn't exactly fair. And I get that now.
I'm realizing it was the combination of people, yeah. Clementine said both Chiron and Ochako had volunteered to die to help meet our numbers. Blanca said you were the one taking the hit for your team, and that you wouldn't kill a child.
Taako and Homura were the ones going out to do the kill for our team. It would have been harder to lie to them about not being saved, but...I don't know. Maybe I should have worked out a deal with Taako to help us vote for Homura instead. Nothing I think about really makes for a good combination though.
[...still.] Either way. I think people thought we were saying you weren't allowed to be upset. And that's not true. That's the other thing I wanted to say.
Week 2, Sunday
This poor kid's seen way too many executions by now, more than he should have had to. But it's not like she can make it any better. ]
Do you like the ocean, Sora?
no subject
Yeah. I've been around it my whole life, so it's sort of nice to be able to see it again.

You've come to see me, and yet you're so eager to leave me again?
[ It's said with a trace of a smile but then she pats the... ground? More leaves?? Sit. ]

I would've come by sooner but I thought you could use the break. These things are pretty rough.

It can't be helped. It would be horrible if a murderer like me had access to an innocent boy.
